How does Rapflections work?
Five steps from quote to profile. Participants stay in control of the result.
Read the quote
The participant reads a short rap quote from an artist such as Kendrick Lamar, Akwasi or Stormzy. Each quote explores a theme: leadership, identity, ambition or loyalty.
Choose a response
For each quote, the participant chooses from two or three interpretations. Each option represents a different attitude or value. The participant chooses the one that fits best.
Respond to the quote
The participant can indicate whether a quote resonates. Their feelings about a quote also contribute to the profile.
Review and adjust the profile
From the choices and likes, Rapflections generates a profile. The participant sees it and indicates what fits and what doesn't. The profile provides a starting point for a conversation.
Explore an experience using STAR
An optional reflection exercise follows. Using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result), the participant describes a specific experience related to their profile. This gives them a concrete example to discuss in an interview, workshop or research conversation.
Rapflections does not store answers that can be traced to individuals. Profiles are processed anonymously, unless the participant gives explicit consent.
